The Course
Learn the theory. Practise the technique. Care for the person.
Phlebotomy is more than drawing blood. You need to identify veins, handle samples correctly, work safely and help each patient feel at ease. This course brings those skills together in a face-to-face setting led by an experienced trainer.
It welcomes people starting in healthcare and professionals who want to add phlebotomy to their work. The teaching moves from classroom foundations to practice arms, then supervised sessions with people.

Vein identification, the collection process and how to approach a procedure step by step.

Hand hygiene, needle safety, sharps disposal, prevention and the records that support safe practice.

Blood collection, vial labelling, sample quality and secure handling and transport.

Clinical judgement
Patient prioritisation, recognising issues during a procedure and responding within your training.

Professional responsibilities
Legal and ethical practice, consent and the implications of poor conduct.
